Ukraine's military intelligence chief Budanov accepts President Zelensky's offer to lead his office
MOSCOW. Jan 12 (Interfax) - The head of Ukraine's military intelligence Kirill Budanov has accepted President Vladimir Zelensky's offer to lead the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Ukrainian media reported on January 2.
The previous head of the presidential office, Andrei Yermak, quit amid a corruption scandal that involved people from Zelensky's closest entourage.
In 2024, Russia's Federal Financial Monitoring Service (Rosfinmonitoring) added Budanov to its list of entities and individuals with regard to whom there is information about their involvement in extremist activity or terrorism.
