Bogdan Kukura becomes chairman of Ukrnafta management board

MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - The supervisory board of Ukrnafta has appointed Bogdan Kukura as chairman of the management board following an open competitive selection, Ukrainian media reported, quoting the company's website.

"The open competition for the position of management board chairman of Ukrnafta, started in August 2025, has been completed," said Timothy Dodson, chairman of the Ukrnafta nomination and remuneration committee and member of the supervisory board.

The selection was conducted transparently, he said. An international executive search firm, Odgers, was hired to support the recruitment process.

Prior to his appointment, Kukura was production director and chief engineer at Ukrnafta.

"He is a highly experienced professional with many years of hands-on expertise in the petroleum industry. He has deep knowledge of the company's production processes and direct involvement in the development of oil and gas recovery operations," Ukrnafta said.

Kukura graduated from the Ivano-Frankovsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. He has a degree in Oil and Gas Fields Development and Operation and an MBA. Kukura has worked at leading oil and gas companies including Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Regal Petroleum and others. He has co-authored several well-operation and production-equipment patents and technical solutions. Kukura brings more than 26 years of experience delivering technological and strategic projects in the petroleum industry.
