All members of Ukrainian Distribution Networks Supervisory Board dismissed
MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Acting Ukrainian Energy Minister Artyom Nekrasov has dismissed the entire Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Distribution Networks company, Ukrainian media reported, citing an order signed on Tuesday.
Three independent members of the company's Supervisory Board, Oleg Kantsurov, Yevgeny Litvinov and Andrei Kostritsa, and two state representatives Svetlana Bilko and Andrei Pochtarev were relieved of their duties.
The order was issued by the Energy Ministry as the sole shareholder of Ukrainian Distribution Networks pursuant to the government's corresponding decision, according to the document.
The overhaul of the Ukrainian state-owned energy companies' Supervisory Boards is being conducted in response to the corruption scandal in the energy sector involving people from the inner circle of President Vladimir Zelensky.
Ukrainian Distribution Networks holds the state-owned controlling stakes in six distribution system operators, including Khmelnitskyoblenergo, Nikolayevoblenergo and Kharkovoblenergo. It also holds 25% of Sumyoblenergo shares.
Ukraine's Energy Ministry is the sole shareholder of Ukrainian Distribution Networks and is authorized to manage the state's corporate rights in the company.
