Putin, Modi adopt joint statement on major plans for Russian-Indian cooperation
NEW DELHI. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have adopted a joint statement on major plans for bilateral cooperation in politics, security, economy, energy and other areas.
The joint statement was issued after summit negotiations, held as part of Putin's state visit to India.
"This is a very important statement that maps out major plans for cooperation in politics, security, economy, finance, transport, energy, education and culture," Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov said earlier.
A program of Russian-Indian economic cooperation until 2030 and a program of cultural exchanges until 2030 were also approved after the summit negotiations.
