Grain exports from Bashkortostan halve, flour exports increase in 9M
UFA. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The Bashkortostan department of Russian agricultural watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor issued almost 4,000 phytosanitary export certificates for 173,200 tonnes of grain and processed grain products in January-September 2025, the department's press service said.
"Over 32,760 tonnes of wheat have been inspected and recorded, 34,000 tonnes of linseed, 6,570 tonnes of barley, 2,840 tonnes of rapeseed, 1,480 tonnes of rye, 1,180 tonnes of mustard, 1,000 tonnes of safflower, 610 tonnes of vetch, and more," the press release reads.
The products were exported to 18 destinations, CIS countries and others, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Latvia, Mongolia, Poland, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Switzerland.
In the first nine months of 2024, 382,590 tonnes of grain and processed grain products were exported to more than 20 countries. The exports therefore decreased 54.5% year-on-year in 9M 2025.
Exports of wheat and rye flour from Bashkortostan to CIS and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries were reported to have reached 21,400 tonnes in 9M 2025, compared with 12,500 tonnes a year earlier.
The region exports agricultural produce to other countries as part of the International Cooperation and Export national project.
