Sattarov, former CEO of logistics company Natcar, appointed deputy CEO of MegaFon
MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Ilya Sattarov, former head of logistics company JSC National Carrier, known as Natcar, has been appointed deputy CEO of PJSC MegaFon , the telecoms company said in a statement.
Sattarov will begin his new role on November 25 and will be responsible for raising the operations efficiency and profitability of the business, developing strategic initiatives, automating key business processes and refining MegaFon's management system.
MegaFon said in the statement that Sattarov had over 20 years of management experience in the banking, retail and logistics sectors. From 2000 to 2010, he worked at Alfa-Bank, and later at the Societe Generale Vostok bank, where he was responsible for commercial development and regional management.
From 2010 to 2018, Sattarov was on the management team at Magnit , starting out as head of asset acquisitions and then becoming first deputy CEO and executive. From 2019 to 2023, he was CEO of FTL transport company Globaltruck. From 2023 onwards, he was CEO and co-founder of logistics company National Carrier, which operates under the Natcar brand.
"Appointing Ilya Sattarov is an important step in order to strengthen the management team at MegaFon. His experience in building sustainable business models and implementing large-scale projects will allow the company to reinforce its standing in key areas of the telecoms market," MegaFon CEO Khachatur Pombukhchan is quoted as saying in the company's statement.
MegaFon is one of the largest telecom operators in Russia. The company is 100% owned by USM subsidiaries - 50% by AF Telecom Holding LLC and another 50% by USM Telecom LLC.
