Ukraine, Greece sign gas agreement

MOSCOW. Nov 17 (Interfax) - Ukraine and Greece have signed a gas supply agreement, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said after a meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

"This is a new energy line going from the south to the north, from Greece to Ukraine. This happens owing to the creation of a vertical energy corridor and a supply line from Alexandropolis to Odessa," Ukrainian media quoted Mitsotakis as saying at a press conference in Athens on Sunday.

Ukraine gets access to reliable energy supply, while Greece becomes a hub for U.S. LNG shipments to Central and East Europe, he said.

"Gas supply will begin as early as in January," the media quoted Zelensky as saying.
