Russian president's special envoy Dmitriev arrives in United States - source
WASHINGTON. Oct 24 (Interfax) - Russian Direct Investment Fund head, special presidential envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries Kirill Dmitriev has arrived in the United States, an informed source told Interfax.
"Dmitriev will meet with a number of officials in the United States," the source said.
CNN reported Dmitriev's visit earlier, citing its sources. The sources said that Dmitriev would meet with members of U.S. President Donald Trump's administration to continue the discussion of U.S.-Russia relations.
CNN did not provide further details.
In turn, Axios reporter Barak Ravid said that Dmitriev would meet with U.S. special presidential envoy Steve Witkoff on Saturday.
"White House envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to meet on Saturday with [Russian President] Putin's envoy Kirill Dmitriev who arrived in the U.S., per source with knowledge," Ravid said on X on Friday.
