Tokayev's state visit to Russia scheduled for Nov 12 - Kazakh embassy in Moscow
ASTANA. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is planning to pay a state visit to Russia on November 12, the Kazakh embassy to Russia said in a statement on Wednesday.
The 33rd anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation will be observed on October 22, it said.
"Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia are characterized with a high level of political culture and develop in the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance. The successful interaction stems from friendly relations between the two heads of state. A proof of that is last year's state visit of Russian President Vladimir Putin to Kazakhstan and the state visit of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Russia scheduled for November 12," the statement said.
"The shared centuries-old history, the geographic and spiritual proximity, and mutual confidence constitute a unique advantage and a token of further development of amicable relations between our countries," it said.
