Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan sign agreement on strategic partnership in energy
BAKU. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have concluded an agreement on a strategic partnership in energy.
The document was signed by Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Kazakh Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov, according to information on the Azerbaijani presidential website.
In addition, Kazakhstan's Samruk-Kazyna state fund has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Azerbaijani transport and communications holding Azcon and a framework agreement on the establishment of a joint investment mechanism with the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijani Republic (SOCAR) and the Azerbaijani Investment Holding, the information said.
An exchange of 14 signed intergovernmental documents took place in the presence of the Azerbaijani and Kazakh presidents in Astana on Tuesday.
