Ukraine's Rada passes bill increasing state budget expenditures for 2025
MOSCOW. Oct 21 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday immediately adopted as a basis and as a whole a bill increasing state budget expenditures for 2025 by UAH 324.7 billion for the national security and defense sector, Ukrainian media reported, citing Rada member Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
Rada Budget Committee Chair Roksolana Pidlasa earlier said that the document provides for the allocation of UAH 210.9 billion for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, UAH 99.1 billion for the production and purchase of weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, UAH 8.1 billion for the National Guard, UAH 4.3 billion for the purchase of drones for the State Special Communications Service, UAH 1.3 billion for the Ukrainian Security Service, UAH 918 million for the State Special Transport Service, UAH 83 million for the State Tax Service, UAH 28.8 million is proposed to be allocated for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate, another UAH 8 million for the Ukrainian Foreign Intelligence Service.
There are plans to raise funds for this mainly from international aid (UAH 294.3 billion), reducing non-military expenditures (UAH 10.4 billion), and increasing personal income tax revenues (UAH 20 billion).
