Russia-N.Korea talks on creating inter-parliamentary working group reach final stage - Duma's 1st deputy speaker Melnikov

MOSCOW. Oct 20 i(Interfax) - The process of creating a high-level working group between the Russian State Duma and the North Korean Supreme People's Assembly is nearing completion, the Duma's first deputy speaker Ivan Melnikov said at a meeting with the chairman of the Assembly's North Korea-Russia friendship promotion group, Cheol Lee, on Monday.

"Our agreements about creating a high-level working group between our parliaments are at the concluding stage," Melnikov said.

The Duma is ready to host relevant committees and commissions of the Supreme People's Assembly, he said.

"We are ready to continue to develop most actively the strategic area of the state policy between our countries in the interest of our peoples," Melnikov said.
