Karachaganak operator manageably reduces output after attack on Orenburg GPP - Kazakh Energy Ministry
ASTANA. Oct 20 (Interfax) - Karachaganak Petroleum Operating, the operator of the Karachaganak field, has reduced production following the drone attack on the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant on Sunday, the press service of the Kazakh Energy Ministry said.
"According to preliminary information received from partners, gas intake is expected to resume soon at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant. The operator of the Karachaganak field previously carried out a controlled reduction in production volumes owing to temporary restrictions on gas intake at the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant," the Kazakh Energy Ministry said on Monday.
This measure does not affect fulfilling gas supply obligations to Kazakhstan's domestic market, the ministry said.
"A return to planned production levels will begin immediately after the GPP resumes normal operations," the Energy Ministry reported.
