Putin, Zelensky interested in peaceful settlement - Trump

WASHINGTON. Oct 17 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky are equally interested in ending the Ukraine conflict, U.S. President Donald Trump said.

"I think President Putin wants to end the war [...]. He wants to get it ended. I think that President Zelensky wants to get it ended, now we have to get it done," he said at a meeting with Zelensky in the White House.

Trump said the presidents of Russia and Ukraine do not like each other, but he will try to ensure that the negotiation process is comfortable to everyone.
