Trump tells Zelensky he's happy about progress in regard to Ukraine settlement

WASHINGTON. Oct 17 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian conflict settlement process is moving in the right direction, U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday.

"I think we are making great progress. We are going to be talking about it today, we'll be talking about what took place yesterday with my phone call with President Putin," Trump said at his meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky at the White House.

"I think that things are coming along pretty well. It began in Alaska where I think certain guidelines were discussed and we want to see whether we can get this done," Trump said.
