Gazprom preparing to commission No. 5 line of Amur gas processing plant
ST. PETERSBURG. Oct 8 (Interfax) - Gazprom plans to commission the fifth pipeline of the Amur Gas Processing Plant on October 10, Gazprom Deputy Management Board Chairman Vitaly Markelov said during a meeting at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2025 regarding Gazprom's technological development.
This marks the start of supplying gas to the pipeline and commissioning operations.
The Amur Gas Processing Plant is located near the city of Svobodny in the Amur Region. It will be one of the largest natural gas processing facilities worldwide, with design capacity for feedstock of 42 billion cubic meters per year. The plant will comprise six pipelines, each with capacity of 7 bcm of feedstock gas per year.
Commissioning the pipelines is synchronized with boosting volumes of gas pumping via the Power of Siberia pipeline.
