Historical minimum of unemployment will be subject of detailed review at Central Bank of Russia's October rate meeting - deputy governor
MOSCOW. Oct 3 (Interfax) - The latest historical minimum of unemployment will be discussed in detail at the Central Bank of Russia's board of directors meeting on the key rate which will take place on October 24, Central Bank Deputy Governor Alexei Zabotkin said.
"The historical minimum of unemployment in August is, of course, something that will definitely be the subject of a detailed review at the October meeting," Zabotkin said during a broadcast on RBC radio.
According to materials published earlier this week by Rosstat, unemployment in Russia was 2.1% in August 2025, which corresponds to a new historical minimum for the entire period of observation beginning in 1991.
The previous minimum unemployment level of 2.2% was recorded in May and was maintained throughout June and July.
