EEC zeroes out import duties for gasoline, diesel fuel, other fuels until June 30, 2026
MOSCOW. Sept 30 (Interfax) - The council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has zeroed out customs duties for imports of motor gasoline, jet engine fuel, diesel fuel, marine fuel and other gas oils to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which includes Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, until June 30, 2026 inclusive, the EEC trade department reported.
"This decision has been made in order to ensure balance on the domestic motor fuel market, where production has declined briefly in the midst of a seasonal increase in demand," EEC Commissioner for Trade Andrei Slepnev is quoted as saying in the statement.
The resolution will come into effect 10 days after its official publication.
The zeroing of the duty will apply to fuel under HS codes 2710 12 411 0, 2710 12 412 0, 2710 12 413 0, 2710 12 419 0, 2710 12 450 0, 2710 12 490 0, 2710 12 510 0, 2710 12 590 0 (gasoline up to AI-80, from AI-81 to AI-90, from AI-92 to AI-95, from AI-95 to AI-98, AI-98 and above), 2710 19 210 0 (jet fuel), 2710 19 421 0, 2710 19 422 0, 2710 19 423 0 and 2710 19 424 0, 2710 19 425 0 (summer, winter, arctic, inter-seasonal and other diesel fuel), 2710 19 426 0 and 2710 19 429 0 (marine fuel).
For all these types of fuel, the current import duty rate is 5%.
