Ukraine, European Commission extend road transport agreement until March 2027
MOSCOW. Sept 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the European Commission have agreed to extend the agreement liberalizing the carriage of goods by road for another 15 months, Ukrainian media reported citing the Ministry for the Development of Communities and Territories.
"Thus, the partial liberalization of freight carriage between the parties will stay in effect at least until March 2027. This means that Ukrainian and EU carriers will be able to continue to perform bilateral and transit road operations without special permits," the ministry said.
The extension of the agreement does not introduce any new rules for its implementation, it said. As before, Ukrainian and EU carriers will have to comply with the existing liberalization provisions, including vehicle markings and possession of a valid license and shipping documents.
