Russian govt approves draft budget for new three-year period
MOSCOW. Sept 24 (Interfax) - The draft law on the federal budget for 2026 and the planning period of 2027-2028 was approved at a government meeting on Wednesday, the government's press service said.
The budget deficit for 2026-2028 is forecast to be 1.6%, 1.2%, and 1.3% of GDP, respectively, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at the meeting.
The government must submit the draft budget to the State Duma by October 1.
