Polish defense minister holding talks in Kiev
MOSCOW. Sept 18 (Interfax) - Polish Deputy Prime Minister and National Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz has arrived in Kiev on a visit, Ukrainian media reported on Thursday.
The Polish Defense Ministry was the first to report the trip. The parties intend to discuss defense cooperation projects during the visit, as well as military assistance provided by Warsaw, the ministry said.
In particular, Kosiniak-Kamysz said that during his visit to Kiev, an agreement on cooperation between the two countries' defense ministries will be signed.
"We will sign an agreement on cooperation between the ministries, as well as on acquiring drone control skills. The negotiations will focus on developing joint industrial initiatives," the ministry's press service quoted Kosiniak-Kamysz as saying.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Denis Shmygal said later that he had already met with his Polish counterpart.
