Transmashholding to study Algerian market for potential business
ST. PETERSBURG. Aug 29 (Interfax) - Transmashholding (TMH) is exploring the Algerian market for potential business, the head of TMH, Kirill Lipa, told journalists during the PRO//Motion.Expo Area 1520 International Railway Fair.
"We are creating a special group of people who will deal with the Algerian market. The task is to explore all possible formats of our special cooperation. First of all, this concerns electric trains, secondly, locomotives and thirdly, the metro," Lipa said.
TMH previously said that an Algerian delegation visited the Metrovagonmash plant (part of TMH).
TMH is the largest producer of rolling stock for rail transport in Russia. Its headquarters are located in Moscow. The holding's structure includes production and assembly sites in Russia and other countries around the world, with its operational geography covering 30 states.
