Transit of Kazakh oil through port of Ust-Luga proceeding as usual - Kazakh Energy Ministry
ASTANA. Aug 25 (Interfax) - A drone attack on the port of Ust-Luga has not affected the transit of Kazakh oil, the Kazakh Energy Ministry's press service said.
"According to available information, yesterday's drone attack on the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region did not affect export supplies via this route. Transportation is being carried out as usual," the ministry said on Monday.
The Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline is the second largest by volume for exporting Kazakh oil to the world market. The supply of oil via the Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline and further through the system of PJSC Transneft is carried out to the Baltic terminal of Ust-Luga and the Black Sea port of Novorossiysk.
A total of 5 million tonnes of oil were transported via the Atyrau-Samara oil pipeline in H1 2025, up 4% compared to the same period of 2024. Transportation amounted to 10.4 million tonnes for the entire previous year, which is equal to the level for 2023.
