Hungarian authorities say Trump shares their discontent with Kiev strikes on oil pipeline

BERLIN. Aug 22 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed discontent with Ukrainian strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline, Balazs Orban, political director of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, said on Friday.

He posted Orban's message to Trump regarding Ukrainian strikes on the oil pipeline in his account on a social network.

He also attached a hand-written response from Trump, which read, "Viktor, I do not like hearing this. I am very angry about it. Tell Slovakia."

Media said on Monday that Ukrainian forces struck a substation of the Druzhba pipeline supplying oil to Hungary and Slovakia at night. Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto blamed Kiev for suspended Russian oil supply to Hungary by the Druzhba pipeline.

Szijjarto said earlier on Friday that the Druzhba pipeline came under attack for the third time in a brief period. He also said that Russian oil supply had stopped.

Szijjarto and his Slovak counterpart Juraj Blanar sent a letter to the European Commission urging that it guarantee security of energy supplies.
