Russia boosts poultry meat exports to China almost 16% in Jan-July to $270.6 mln - Chinese customs

MOSCOW. Aug 20 (Interfax) - Russia supplied poultry meat and offal to China worth $270.6 million in January-July 2025, up 15.7% compared to the same period last year ($233.9 million), according to materials from China's General Administration of Customs.

In July, supplies remained at the same level as a year ago ($43.2 million), but they increased compared to June ($37.2 million).

Russia maintained its third place among suppliers of poultry meat to China in 7M. In second place is Thailand ($281 million), while the largest supplier is Brazil ($785.7 million).

In total, China purchased this product from 12 countries in January-July.

As reported, China imported poultry meat and offal from Russia worth $430 million in 2024, down 7.3% compared to the figure for 2023 ($463.9 million).

China purchased poultry products from 11 countries in 2024 and from nine countries in 2023. The leading supplier was Brazil at $1.57 billion, compared to $1.95 billion a year earlier.
