Russia's consolidated budget deficit grows to 4.95 trln rubles in H1 - Treasury

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - Russia's consolidated budget was executed with a deficit of 4.953 trillion rubles in H1 2025 according to preliminary estimates, materials published on the website of the Federal Treasury said.

The consolidated budget deficit in January-May 2025 amounted to 2.479 trillion rubles, meaning that in June the deficit was 2.474 trillion rubles.

For comparison, the consolidated budget was executed with a surplus of 126.1 billion rubles in January-June 2024.

Revenues of the consolidated budget in the first half of this year amounted to 33.81 trillion rubles (January-June 2024 - 32.783 trillion rubles), expenditures - 38.764 trillion rubles (32.657 trillion rubles a year earlier).

The federal budget deficit in January-May amounted to 4.444 trillion rubles, with revenues of 16.537 trillion rubles and expenditures of 20.981 trillion rubles.

Consolidated regional budgets in January-June were executed with a deficit of 397.8 billion rubles, with revenues of 11.496 trillion rubles and expenditures of 11.894 trillion rubles.

Budgets of state extra-budgetary funds were executed with a deficit of 236.9 billion rubles in 6M 2025. Fund revenues amounted to 10.014 trillion rubles, expenditures - 10.250 trillion rubles.

Budgets of territorial state extra-budgetary funds for this period were executed with a surplus of 125.1 billion rubles with revenues of 1.944 trillion rubles and expenditures of 1.819 trillion rubles.
