X5 establishes division for developing robotic technology

MOSCOW. Aug 18 (Interfax) - PJSC X5 Corporate Center (MOEX: X5) (X5) is creating a separate business division, X5 Robotics.

The division will focus on implementing robotic solutions into the company's operational and production processes, as well as forming an expertise center, the company said.

X5 Robotics will cover the full cycle of operations, from development and piloting to the industrial implementation of automated solutions across all X5 businesses.

"X5 Robotics, as a separate business division, will become a driver of innovation not only within the company but also beyond it," X5 Tech Managing Director Alexander Kostin said.

X5 is Russia's largest retailer by revenue. As of June 30, 2025, the group comprised 28,301 stores.
