MAGADAN. Aug 15 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin toured the Omega Sea fish oil processing and refining plant in Magadan on Friday afternoon.

There he was met by Governor of the Magadan Region Sergei Nosov, Omega Sea's general director, Nikolai Kotov, its director, Anatoly Popov and the head of its laboratory, Sergei Malashenko.

Putin saw how the fish fat is produced and was told about how it is refined.

The head of state was told about a unique and Russia's only technology for refining fish oil, which increases the content of fatty acids in the oil to 90%, whereas ordinary technologies only achieve 20%-30%.
