Rosatom delivers components for wind farm to Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK. Aug 14 (Interfax) - The first components for the construction of a Rosatom wind farm Kyrgyzstan have been delivered to the Central Asian country, the Russian state corporation reported on Thursday.
"JSC Rosatom Renewable Energy has delivered the first components for the construction of a wind farm in the Kok-Moynok locality of the city of Balykchy in the Issyk-Kul Region of Kyrgyzstan," the company said.
The start of design work on the 100 MW wind farm with subsequent construction is scheduled for 2025-2026. Rosatom Renewable Energy CEO Grigory Nazarov said the foundation for the wind farm will be poured next year.
"The implementation of the project to build our first foreign wind farm is approaching a new milestone. The delivery of components is an important step on this path. We are proceeding according to the schedule set in the signed investment agreement," Nazarov said.
