Investor begins development of Dyappe gold deposit in Khabarovsk Territory
KHABAROVSK. Aug 11 (Interfax) - Dyappe LLC has commenced development of the eponymous gold deposit in Khabarovsk Territory, with the first 35,000 tonnes of ore already extracted, according to the regional Natural Resources Ministry.
The company has begun installing a modular crushing and sorting complex with an annual capacity of 1.5 million tonnes.
"The crushing complex is scheduled to launch in September. Next year, we plan to process 1 million tonnes of ore," Khabarovsk Territory Natural Resources Minister Alexander Leontyev said on the ministry's Telegram channel.
Currently, blasting and excavation operations are being conducted at three levels of the open pit at elevations of 320-325 meters. Ore processing will utilize heap leaching methods until 2029.
The mining and processing plant's design capacity exceeds 3 tonnes of gold annually. Investments to date, including exploration, total 3 billion rubles. As of August 1, the company employs 156 people, with 193 workers on site including contractors. Staff numbers are expected to reach 230 by the end of the year.
The deposit is located in the upper reaches of the Dyappe creek (on the left bank of the lower Amur river), approximately 600 km from Khabarovsk. Total reserves exceed 62 tonnes.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Dyappe was registered in 2005 and is 76% owned by local entrepreneur Vladimir Burmistrov, with the remaining 24% held by Chinese company Heilongjiang Zhong Kun Min Tonneg Mining Investment Co., Ltd.
