Lukoil intensifies work at Shurdarye gas condensate field in Uzbekistan
MOSCOW. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Lukoil is intensifying operations at the Shurdarye gas condensate field in the Southwestern Gissar block of the Kashkadarya region in southern Uzbekistan.
According to materials from Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC, bids for the tender on comprehensive well N2 development at this field are being accepted until August 21. The scope of work includes detailed engineering design, equipment supply and turnkey construction.
Last year, the company held competitive bidding for the pilot production project at the site.
The Shurdarye field was discovered in 2012. During exploratory drilling at depths exceeding 3,000 meters, gas-saturated carbonate rocks of the Upper Jurassic period were encountered. Testing of the first well yielded commercial daily flow rates of up to 650,000 cubic meters of gas and over 70 tonnes of gas condensate.
The company signed a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) for the Southwestern Gissar project in January 2007. In August 2017, Lukoil reached the project's target gas production level at Gissar - 5 billion cubic meters of gas annually.
