Ruspolymet launches production of parts for high-power gas turbines worth 0.8 bln rubles

NIZHNY NOVGOROD. Aug 7 (Interfax) - Ruspolymet Group has launched production of ring components for GTD-110M high-power gas turbine units in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the press service of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF) said.

Investment in the project amounted to 822 million rubles, of which 651.5 million rubles were provided as a preferential loan by the IDF.

The company has mastered serial production of large-diameter rings up to 4.5 meters and weighing up to 3 tonnes, the press service said.

"These products are critically important components in the design of gas turbines. The main customer is the Rybinsk-based enterprise ODK-Saturn, which develops and manufactures GTD-110M high-power turbines," IT said.

Ruspolymet's production capacity allows it to manufacture up to 460 ring parts for gas turbines annually. In addition to this, the enterprise also produces rings for shut-off valves and pipelines, bearings, separators, slewing devices and other industrial applications, the press service said.

Profiles, rods, forgings and ingots made from Russian carbon, stainless and heat-resistant steels, as well as corrosion-resistant alloys, are used as feedstock. The localization level of the production is 100%.

Ruspolymet Group, in addition to its core asset - JSC Ruspolymet Metallurgical Plant - includes Grankom LLC (powder metallurgy), Vacuum Metallurgy Plant LLC (titanium and titanium alloy products), Vyksa Foundry LLC (steel and gray cast iron castings), JSC Termostal (technologies and equipment for steel heat treatment and heating), JSC Special Engineering Corporation, and several other enterprises.

For many years, Ruspolymet Group was controlled by former Nizhny Novgorod region Deputy Governor Viktor Klochai, who serves as chairman of the board of directors of Ruspolymet. Since 2022, Ruspolymet has not disclosed its owners.
