Russia's OGK-2 reduces electricity output 5.7% to 26.4 bln kWh in H1 2025
MOSCOW. July 24 (Interfax) - PJSC OGK-2 reduced electricity output 5.7% year-on-year to 26.4 billion kWh in H1 2025, Russia's largest heat-generating company said.
The decrease in production was owing to a decline in demand for generating equipment, the company explained.
Thermal energy output dropped 13.1% to 2.66 million Gcal owing to a decrease in thermal energy consumption from Kirishskaya GRES regional power station and Surgutskaya GRES-1, OGK-2 said.
OGK-2 includes 12 thermal power plants with total installed capacity of 16.3 GW. Centerenergoholding owned 73.42% of the company's shares as of June 2021, and Gazprom Energoholding, which includes Centerenergoholding, owned another 7.54%.
