Washington considering possibility of supplying Patriot systems to Ukraine - Trump

WASHINGTON. July 9 (Interfax) - The United States is so far considering the possibility of supplying Patriot missile systems to Ukraine, U.S. President Donald Trump said.

"If they [Ukraine] would like it, they have asked for it. They [Patriot systems] are very rare indeed," Trump told reporters at the White House on Wednesday.

"A lot of systems have been sent to Ukraine," Trump said. "I know they have made a request and we are going to take a lot at it," he said.

Patriot is a "very expensive system," he said.

"It's a shame that we have to spend so much money on a war," he said.
