Russia plans to boost exports of agricultural produce to Philippines - Agroexport
MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - Russia plans to increase exports of agricultural produce to the Philippines.
The Agroexport federal center said that offsite meetings had been organized in Manila with Philippine companies importing and processing grain, as well as representatives of state authorities, with this goal in mind.
The center estimates that cereals, sunflower and rapeseed oil, frozen fish, chocolate pastries, meat produce, whey and dried fat-free milk, flour and pasta, and pet food are the most promising of all products for export.
"The Philippines is a country with a fast-growing economy and growing household income, factors which will drive growth in consumer demand in the near future. The Philippines imports $21 billion of agricultural produce each year, predominantly cereals, pork, poultry meat and dairy products, especially dry ones," Agroexport said.
Russia obtained the rights to export beef, beef by-products and feed meal of animal origin to the Philippines earlier this year.
