Gazprom completes over four fifths of production wells at Kharasaveyskoye field

SALEKHARD. June 25 (Interfax) - Drilling has been completed for 143 out of the planned 170 production wells at the Kharasaveyskoye field, according to the corporate publication of Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC, the license holder and 100% subsidiary of PJSC Gazprom .

A total of 96 of the drilled wells have been equipped with downhole completion systems, the publication said.

The first production well at the field was drilled five years ago.

Construction of main gas production, processing and transportation facilities at Kharasaveyskoye is ongoing, along with that of auxiliary infrastructure and life support systems.

"The field development is systematically progressing towards the launch of another Arctic outpost for Gazprom Dobycha Nadym," the publication said.

The Kharasaveyskoye gas condensate field is located on the Yamal Peninsula north of the Bovanenkovo field, predominantly onshore with a portion extending into the Kara Sea. Development began in March 2019. With gas reserves of 2 trillion cubic meters (C1+C2 categories), it ranks as a uniquely large deposit. The projected production level from Cenomanian-Aptian deposits is 32 billion cubic meters per year.
