Rusnano structure initiates creation of Russian microelectronics manufacturers' consortium

MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - The Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC) of Rusnano Group has united Russian microelectronics manufacturers into a new Zelmash consortium, Rusnano said.

The consortium members include: National Research University of Electronic Technology, JSC ZNTC, JSC Proton Plant, JSC ZITC, JSC NPP ESTO, JSC NIIPM and JSC RETIKL. ZNTC CEO Anatoly Kovalev was appointed chairman of the consortium's council.

To develop full-cycle domestic microelectronics production, the consortium plans to conduct fundamental and applied research; develop new technologies and equipment; organize serial production, and train necessary personnel, it said.

The consortium's first step was signing a strategic agreement with JSC Nanotronika (Element Group ), aimed at consolidating efforts in advanced electronic technology development.

The Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center is a leading Russian enterprise in developing and producing microelectronics equipment, including import substitution solutions. Last year, the center successfully completed development of Russia's first 350 nm lithograph. Work is currently underway to create a 130 nm alignment and projection exposure system, with project completion scheduled for 2026.

"Forming the consortium will enable the company to expand technological capabilities through partner facilities, continue improving photolithographic equipment and implement new technologies at end-user enterprises," Rusnano said.
