Russian energy minister, Chinese ambassador discuss LNG, natural gas supplies

MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Russian Energy Minister Sergei Tsivilev and Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui have discussed key aspects of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the fuel and energy sector.

In particular, the discussion focused on LNG and natural gas supplies, developing gas transportation infrastructure, implementing joint energy projects, and expanding cooperation in the oil and coal sectors, the Energy Ministry said.

The parties emphasized that the fuel and energy complex remains one of the priority areas of the Russian-Chinese strategic partnership.

"The topic of energy justice, which takes into account not only economic but also social aspects of cooperation, will be discussed on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum," the ministry said.
