Zelensky: Ukrainian delegation authorized to discuss only humanitarian issues at talks with Russia
MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian delegation at negotiations with Russia is authorized to discuss humanitarian issues based on the Ukrainian memorandum, and it does not have a mandate to discuss Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, President Vladimir Zelensky said.
"Our memorandum serves as a basis for negotiations. Our delegation has a mandate to discuss humanitarian issues, such as the future of POWs and kidnapped children, or a ceasefire. However, it has no mandate to discuss Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is our constitutional matter," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky as saying in an interview for the Hungarian publication Valasz Online.
