Tatneft plans to expand range of oilfield services, implement digital solutions in Turkmenistan

MOSCOW. June 4 (Interfax) - Tatneft and Turkmennebit intend to develop their range of oilfield services in Turkmenistan, Tatneft said in its corporate publication Oil News.

"Building on the solid foundation established through 15 years of cooperation, the partners are now looking ahead. Their focus includes further developing service technologies, expanding service offerings, implementing digital solutions and training new specialists," Tatneft said.

Since 2012, Tatneft's branch teams have conducted over 350 well interventions in Turkmenistan using downhole pumping equipment, it said. They have mastered drilling technologies for complex geological conditions and established on-site equipment repair and assembly capabilities. New service lines include repairs of electric submersible pump units, drill pipes and sucker rods.

The Tatneft-Turkmennebit partnership began in 2008 with downhole equipment supplies to Turkmenistan. In 2010, the companies signed a contract for Tatneft to conduct enhanced oil recovery services at the Goturdepe field. In February 2011, the Russian company registered its Turkmenistan branch.
