Belarus' potash fertilizer exports reach pre-sanction level - Lukashenko
MINSK. May 23 (Interfax) - Sales of Belarusian potash fertilizers have reached pre-sanction levels, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said at a visiting meeting on the construction and commissioning of a mining and processing complex in the Lyuban District.
"It is impossible to restrain the development of any country, even a small one, with sanctions. It is impossible," the BelTA state news agency quoted Lukashenko as saying.
Belarus exported 10-11 million tonnes of potash fertilizer annually, occupying about 20% of the global potassium chloride market, prior to the implementation of large-scale sectoral and individual sanctions against the potash industry.
