Chinese vice premier to visit Russia on May 19-22 - Chinese Foreign Ministry
BEIJING. May 16 (Interfax) - Vice Premier of China's State Council Zhang Guoqing will arrive in Russia on May 19 on a four-day visit, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
"At the invitation of Russia's Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov and Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Zhang Guoqing will be in Russia from May 19 to 22," The Global Times newspaper cited the ministry as saying in a statement on Friday.
During the visit, Zhang is expected to attend a meeting of the Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission addressing cooperation and the development of the northeastern regions of China and Russia's Far East and Baikal region.
