World Bank to disburse $84 for housing restoration in Ukraine
MOSCOW. May 16 (Interfax) - The World Bank Board of Directors has approved an additional disbursement of $84 million to Ukraine for housing restoration under the HOPE project, Ukrainian media said, citing the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's website.
As reported, Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Development of Communities and Territories Alexei Kuleba and World Bank Country Director for Eastern Europe Bob Saum signed the additional financing agreement between Ukraine and the International Development Association on May 15. The World Bank Board of Directors approved the disbursement on May 9.
The funds will allow over 25,000 households to be repaired.
Ukraine will draw $84 million from the World Bank under the HOPE project. The Ukrainian government made the respective decision on Friday, April 18.
