Zelensky sends delegation led by defense minister to Istanbul for talks with Russian negotiators

MOSCOW. May 15 (Interfax) - Vladimir Zelensky has dispatched a delegation led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov to Istanbul for negotiations with the Russian delegation.

Zelensky made this announcement at a press conference following negotiations with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Ukrainian media reported.

"I've decided to send our delegation to Istanbul now, but not all of them," Zelensky said. "The delegation will be led by the defense minister," he said.

"Our group, which I am sending to Istanbul, will be there tomorrow. [...] We will be constructive and will be present in various formats as will be agreed on," Zelensky said.
