Russian Industry and Trade Ministry backs price indexation for fertilizers by cumulative rate of inflation - Alikhanov

MURMANSK. March 27 (Interfax) - The Russian Industry and Trade Ministry and Russian Economic Development Ministry are in favor of price indexation for mineral fertilizers for the domestic market, Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov told journalists on the sidelines of the International Arctic Forum.

"We and our colleagues from the Economic Development Ministry are in favor of this indexation, but our colleagues from the Agriculture Ministry, are against it, for obvious reasons. I can say that this is not such a super-urgent issue for all fertilizer producers, but some suppliers have already reached the limit of those prices that have now been approved," he said.

"We have proposed indexation by the cumulative rate of inflation," Alikhanov said.
