Belarus imposes licensing for potato exports for three months
MINSK. March 26 (Interfax) - The Belarusian government has temporarily imposed licensing for potato exports for three months, the Cabinet's press service, citing a signed resolution, reported.
Potatoes will be exported under single-use licenses issued by the Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Ministry in coordination with the Agriculture and Food Ministry, regional executive committees and the Minsk municipal executive committee.
"Licensing will make it possible to ensure control over reserves, as well as export flows of potatoes in light of growing demand and high prices for them outside the country," the press service said.
The resolution will go into effect upon its official publication.
