Lukashenko's inauguration to take place March 25

MINSK. March 20 (Interfax) - Alexander Lukashenko will officially be sworn into office as president of Belarus next week, the BelTA state-run news agency said, citing information from the country's Central Elections Commission.

"The inauguration ceremony of Alexander Lukashenko, who was reelected as president of the Republic of Belarus, will take place on March 25," BelTa said.

Under the Belarusian constitution, the presidential oath of office is taken in the presence of members of the Belarusian People's Assembly presidium, members of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic and judges of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts at a solemn ceremony held no later than two months after the election date.
