Putin-Trump phone call expected between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Moscow time on Tues - Peskov
MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and U.S. President Donald Trump are expected to speak by phone between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Moscow time on Tuesday, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said, adding that the phone call will take as much time as the presidents need.
"Indeed, it will take place between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Moscow time," Peskov told journalists in reply to the corresponding question.
"The leaders will speak for as long as they deem necessary," he said when asked whether the phone call's timing will be limited.
Journalists also asked him to comment on Trump's recent statement that most topics of the upcoming conversation have already been agreed.
"As you know, certain discussions have been held. Mr. Witkoff [U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff] has visited Moscow. There have been negotiations in Istanbul. The first phone conversation between the two presidents took place earlier. Therefore, a certain understanding [regarding the agenda of the phone call] does exist," Peskov said.
"There is a large number of issues concerning further normalization of bilateral relations and the Ukraine settlement. The two presidents will have to discuss all of them," he said.
"As usual, we will inform you about the outcomes of this conversation. We will do it as quickly as possible," Peskov said.
