Central Bank of Armenia keeps refinancing rate at 6.75% per annum

YEREVAN. March 18 (Interfax) - The board of the Central Bank of Armenia has decided to keep the refinancing rate at 6.75% per annum, the bank said.

A rate of 6.75% has been in effect since February 4, when it was reduced by 0.25 percentage points.

The Central Bank lowered the rate eight times in 2024.

According to the country's statistical committee, inflation stood at 0.3% in Armenia in 2024, against a target of 4% plus or minus 1.5 percentage points.

Annual inflation stood at 2.5% in February 2025.

The state budget for 2025 projects average inflation at 3.5%.
