Trump says planning to talk to Putin

WASHINGTON. March 12 (Interfax) - U.S. President Donald Trump has said he is planning to talk with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"I'll talk to Vladimir Putin," Trump told journalists at the White House, as he bought a Tesla from Elon Musk.

As to whether the conversation was possible this week, Trump said, "I think so, yeah."

"We'll have a big meeting with Russia tomorrow," he said.

As to when a truce might be declared in Ukraine, Trump said, "I hope it will be over the next few days."

"I really think that would be 75% of the way. The rest is getting it documented, negotiating land, positions, etc.," Trump said, speaking of a truce agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
